Our Story
Gabby Elan Jewelry was established in 1991 and was based in Downtown Brooklyn’s Fulton Street Mall. Gabby Pinhasov, who immigrated to the US from Israel at the age of 26, came as a dental technician with no jewelry background. He noticed that gold teeth, or “grillz” were very popular in the urban scene and decided to open a booth specializing in grills. As he saw success, he moved to Albee Square Mall, a well known attraction for Brooklyn in the 90’s. Following the closing of the mall he opened Gabby Jewelers nearby, alongside his son Elan helping manage and bring growth to the company. As gentrification and the rebuilding of the downtown area took over, they had to relocate and chose to move to Manhattan’s very own Diamond District with Gabby in charge of the grill department and Elan specializing in the jewelry and custom products. Many celebrities helped contribute to the success of Gabby Elan Jewelry such as Pharrell, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky, Wu Tang Clan, Heidi Klum, etc.
